LOVE/HATE heartthrob Killian Scott will enjoy another starring role today as he helps to launch the programme for the 2013 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.
He will be joined by actress Kelly Campbell at the launch.
Festival director Grainne Humphreys is due to talk through the programme in the Dublin's Light House cinema at 6.30pm today. This is followed by a drinks reception at the Old Jameson Distillery.
The 11th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival will take place from February 14-24.
•BEST selling author and former journalist Cathy Kelly is on hand today to launch up and coming Dublin novelist Ella Griffin's new book, The Heart Whisperer.
The romantic novel, which was published on January 14, was due to be launched at 6.30pm today in Dubray books on Grafton Street.
•THE health craze continues this month with the Safefood Operation Transformation Roadshow.
The roadshow began last weekend in Mahon Point, Co Cork, with Cork leader Deirdre Hosford and will continue every Saturday until February 16.
Another big crowd is expected for the roadshow this weekend at the Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick with leader Greg Starr.
•IRISH Indie band Sweet Jane will open for rock 'n' roll group Jim Jones Revue in Whelan's tomorrow.
Sweet Jane will provide audiences with a taste of their second album following the release of successful single I Wanna Be In Love, late last year.
•A POPULAR Dublin eaterie is hoping to get the weekend off to a flying start with free live music on the first Friday of every month.
Fab First Friday at the Bridge Bar and Bistro, situated under the railway bridge on Clanwilliam Terrace in Dublin's city centre, will get a facelift from February 1 when the bistro will play host to singer Graham Monaghan.
The singer will entertain the crowd every Friday with classic tunes from a number of different musical genres such as The Rat Pack, Van Morrison, Neil Diamond and Guns N' Roses.
