THE surf's up in Donegal for this year's Sea Sessions festival from June 29 to July 1 in Bundoran. There's just a handful of tickets left for the event, which is hailed as a must-see for fans of surfing and music.
Featuring more than 80 music acts and a surf contest with a coveted prize up for grabs, there's also skate and bicycle displays, and performances from artists including Billy Scurry, Bitches With Wolves, Happy Mondays, Ham Sandwich, Kaiser Chiefs, Jape and The Coronas.
And, for the first time ever, there's a Surfers' Village overlooking The Peak and the biggest cash prize in Irish surfing up for grabs.
•High-kicking production Riverdance is returning to the Gaiety Theatre for yet another run, their ninth consecutive summer season at the southside theatre.
One of the main performers will be Craig Mason of Prodijig fame, the talented troupe who won the Sky 1 talent show Got To Dance.
And this morning he was showing off some fleet-footed moves for the camera as he joined forces with 20 fellow dancers for a photocall to launch the run at the Gaiety.
Running from now until September 2, the show has broken all previous records after being seen live by 23 million people worldwide.
•Tonight will see the crowds heading back to Croke Park to see American chart-toppers Red Hot Chili Peppers taking to the stage for a monster gig.
They'll be joined in the guest support slot by Mancunian troubadour Noel Gallagher and his popular band High Flying Birds as well as the Vaccines.
Next month it's the turn of Phoenix Park as it plays host to a plethora of big-name acts at the first event of its kind of Saturday July 7.
Featuring stars including Tinie Tempah, Snoop Dogg, Calvin Harris and the Original Rudeboys, it has also been confirmed that Swedish House Mafia will play their last-ever live show there.
The superstar DJ group announced on the weekend they will be going their separate ways, so this will be attendees' last chance to see them performing together.
Tickets priced €59.50 are on sale from the usual outlets.

Invitations have been sent for the launch of Chic Summer Festival, the bash which she'll be hosting on July 5 at the Kildare Village.
The daughter of Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale, Daisy was single for the past few months but was spotted canoodling with the actor at a festival in London on the weekend, sparking speculation that the pair are back together.
She's coming over here to add some glam to the event next month, which kick-starts the outlet's series of musical performances, pop-up boutiques and couture installations running until July 29.
