SEXY supermodel David Gandy was in Ireland today to help launch a new range from Marks & Spencer.

David, who was once linked to MTV beauty Laura Whitmore, was working his best Zoolander look at the press launch of Collezione.

He was meeting and greeting the Irish media at a bash in Residence this morning.

•A HOST of well-known faces are gearing to turn out to see the Showbiz Circus extravaganza at the Olympia theatre next weekend.

A huge cast of singers, dancers and special guests, including Imelda May's former music teacher Frieda Bannon (80) will perform for audiences at the show this Sunday.

•HAPPY anniversary to model Pippa O'Connor and hubbie Brian Ormond who celebrated their one-year milestone this week.

The pair got married at a lavish bash with all the lead-up to their big day filmed for a TV3 show. Yesterday they returned to the venue of their wedding, the Ritz Carlton hotel in Wicklow.

They went for a romantic stroll around the grounds of the four-star venue and also went for a healthy bike-ride as they marked the special occasion.

•AN Irish radio play featuring Alan Stanford has just scooped a prestigious award. Written and produced by Zoe Comyns, Flights Of Fancy was originally broadcast on Newstalk on St Patrick's Day.

It has just won the New York Festival's Best Writing Gold award after competing against entries from all around the world. It was also shortlisted in two other categories, Best Drama and Best Sound. The award was dished out at an event in the Big Apple this week for the play, which is based in historical Irish figures and co-stars Frank Kelly.

•LONDON star Lianne Le Havas will take to the stage at Dublin's Olympia Theatre on October 15. Her debut album Is Your Love Big Enough will be released through Warner Bros Records on July 6, and she has just announced her headline tour beginning on October 5. Hailed by celebs including Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton, she went down a storm on Later With Jools Holland, with tickets for her Irish gig on sale now, priced from €21.
