Neven Maguire: Home Chef

RTE1, 8.30pm The affable chef meets Patrick Bewley, grandson of the man who founded Bewley's Cafe in 1927, and visits their coffee roasting plant in north Dublin. He then heads to Cavan to learn about the work of cream liqueur producer Coole Swan.

Neven (left) also prepares chocolate and hazelnut roulade, coffee and cardamom cake with pistachio cream, and a frozen coffee mikshake.

TG4, 10.30pm This interesting-sounding new series looks at the stories of infamous jailbreakers. Soviet agent George Blake received a 42-year prison sentence in 1961.

However, when he met Limerick man Sean Bourke in Wormwood Scrubs, they hatched a plan that would result in their successful escape to the USSR.

UTV, 8pm Manchester City face a tough first-leg tie tonight against the Europa League holders Porto at the Estadio do Dragao.

Adrian Chiles is joined in the studio this evening by Gareth Southgate and former City manager Peter Reid.

The Restoration Man

Channel 4, 9pm Architect George Clarke (and every female's favourite property presenter) comes to the rescue of former Bradford police officer Mark Rand and his wife Pat, whose project to restore the Grade II-listed water tower at Settle station in North Yorkshire has been threatened by the planners' opposition to a glass rooftop extension. Last in the series.
