Sam Peckinpah's 1969 Western is a bloody and violent affair about the passing of the Old West as a group of grizzled gunfighters find themselves embroiled in the Mexican Revolution. The movie employed revolutionary slow-motion techniques and the none-more-macho cast includes William Holden, Robert Ryan, Warren Oates and Ernest Borgnine. Not too many nancy boys there.
