Pregnant Leigh is in flying form

HEAVILY pregnant star Leigh Arnold will be flying back over to Ireland next week to lend her support to one of her best friends.

The former Clinic beauty, who cut a dash at the IFTAs last weekend, will be coming back to join forces with her good pal Claire Malone to mark the third year of her company Create Your Night.

The two blondes will be joined by well-known faces at Lillie's Bordello next Thursday. Included on the guest list are cast members from Mrs Brown's Boys, Roz Purcell, Hazel O'Sullivan, Tiffany Stanley and Alison Canavan.

•Motorheads will be beating a path out to Citywest next month for the return of the Masters Of Dirt Show. And to flag up the event, British bike champ Sam Reynolds is coming to Ireland tomorrow ahead of the event. Hailed as a must for adrenaline junkies, the freestyle motocross show comprises of a series of aerial stunts on a range of impressive bikes, mixed with spectacular lighting and special effects.

•Oscar fever is in the air and next week will see some big-named Irish stars join forces to get in on the action.

Fresh from her stint on hit RTE show Voice Of Ireland, Sharon Corr will be jetting over to America to perform at the US-Ireland Alliance's 7th annual Oscar Wilde party, which will see award-winning actress Michelle Williams as one of the special guests.

Also on the bill next Thursday are Colin Devlin, who is due to walk down the aisle with Sonya Macari this October, and Cathy Davey. The red carpet will be rolled out at Santa Monica production company's headquarters, Bad Robot. The night will honour Academy Award nominees including John Logan and Melissa McCarthy as well as Williams, who stunned audiences in her recent role as Marilyn Monroe. Kenneth Branagh will present.

•Dara O Briain is the latest big name to confirm he'll be taking to the stage for Cork Live at the Marquee event next summer.

Following on from his sell-out tour of the UK and Ireland alongside his best-selling DVD This Is The Show, he'll be on the road again with some brand new material for his show Craic Dealer.

Such was the demand to see The Mock The Week star, organisers have now added a second date to his Cork performance on June 29.

•beauties Nadia Forde, Rozanna Purcell, Michele McGrath and Tiffany Stanley have all signed up to a new campaign for Kit Kat Chunky.

They are all involved in an ongoing poll to see which of four new flavours is preferred by the nation, with the results released on February 24, when one of the four girls will be crowned the Kit Kat Chunky Champion -- with the winning bar permanently added to the range.
