Pippa O'Connor admits she received 'abusive emails' by disappointed fans unable to get tickets to fashion event
Model-turned-blogger Pippa O'Connor said she had received abusive messages and emails by disgruntled fans unable to get tickets to her 'Fashion Factories' beauty and fashion workshops.
The 31-year-old had released tickets for a number of 2016 dates this week, but they all sold out in minutes - leaving many people disappointed.
"It's actually gotten embarrassing because people online are saying: 'Something is going on here, is this a conspiracy? I'm like 'No, they're selling in minutes'," she told the The Herald.
"I mean it's not the Point. It's only a hotel.
"I have thought about doing it on a bigger scale but I want it to be intimate. I want to go to a five-star hotel and give them afternoon tea so I would lose that," she added.
Some fans speculated there could be a pre- order system, but Pippa said nothing untoward was going on.
"I know it's annoying if it's two minutes past 10 and they're all gone," she said.
"But people have been sending us abusive emails or Facebook messages or Snapchats - I'm not lying about anything, they've all gone on sale at once."
Pippa was speaking at the Stellar magazine Shine Awards where she took away the gong for Best Blogger.
Other winners included designer Giovanna Borza, actress Aoibhinn McGinnity and Cocoa Brown creator Marissa Carter.
