Top model Nadia Forde has turned down an offer to appear on Celebrity Big Brother.

The well-known beauty (24) had the chance to add some serious zeros to her bank balance with an appearance on the Channel 5 reality show.

However, she decided not to take up their offer as she didn't want to fall into the same category as fellow Irish models Hazel O'Sullivan and Georgia Salpa.

"Georgia went on the show after her relationship ended with Calum Best and she ended up being categorised as his love interest.

"Obviously there has been lots of speculation about Nadia and Rory McIlroy but she doesn't want to go down that route," a source said.

"Also she's serious about carving out a name for herself as a pop singer and feels like going on the show would only be a distraction. She has lots of gigs coming up so she's concentrating on that."

Speculation has continued over the status of her relationship with McIlroy after he was spotted out on a date last week with Belfast beauty Sasha Gale.

They were pictured together the day after he flew back to his native Co Down to celebrate winning his third major, the British Open in Liverpool.

For her part, Nadia has always stressed that there was no romance and they just had mutual friends.

She has a busy schedule herself as she divides her time between Dublin and London as she continues promoting her debut single BPM.

This Saturday she will take to the stage at Brighton Pride to see her performing alongside stars like X Factor winner Sam Bailey as she continues building up her pop career.
