Other Voices takes Hozier to Church for special show

Take Me To Church singer Hozier has been taken back to church for a special Other Voices show.

The Bray native first played the boutique music festival in Dingle in December 2013.

Now the show, which is broadcast on RTE next month, will kick off its 13th series with a special show on popular singer-songwriter.

The Irishman has taken the world by storm over the past year, being nominated for a Grammy and topping charts in the US.

In this special show, Hozier (24) gives an in-depth interview revealing his influences and the significance of his first playing of the Other Voices festival.

“Hozier bursts with talent but is modest about it. As with the old adage, with truth there is power, Hozier’s honesty makes him a fascination in the music world,” explained Philip King, who founded Other Voices.

“This series is the strongest so far with Hozier, Damien Rice, again somebody we were involved with very early on, along with Jessie Ware, Young Fathers, Walking On Cars and Ibeyi amongst many others,” he added.

The Hozier Special will air on March 15 on RTE2 at 10.50pm and will be followed by a ‘Best Of’ episode on March 22.
