TV STARLET Laura Whitmore is Amsterdam-bound.

The Bray native will be presenting at the red carpet event at this year's MTV European Music Awards alongside US star Louise Roe.

Yesterday Laura (28) bid adieu to wet and wintry London town. "Amsterdam Bound!! Byeeeeee London!! See you in 6 weeks," she wrote online.

Laura will bring music fans all the red carpet gossip and grill some of the A-list celebs. Miley Cyrus, Robin Thicke, Bruno Mars, Kings of Leon, Snoop Dogg, Afrojack, Imagine Dragons, Icona Pop, The Killers and Katy Perry are all set to perform.

Stylish

It will be a whirlwind trip for Laura who will head straight to the Aussie outback after she brings fans and viewers the scoops from the red carpet.

Laura will spend six weeks in Australia filming I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now! and will return home just in time for Christmas.

The stylish presenter is known for having one of the most covetable wardrobes in Ireland and seems to ooze confidence but she insists this wasn't always the case.

"I used to hate my skin being so fair," she said. "It annoyed me that I would go away with friends who'd get dark after five minutes in the sun and I'd be still the same pale colour. Now I've just learned to accept it. It could be worse.

"My little brother is a redhead so he had to sunbathe in a whole bodysuit with cap."

Laura regularly nails the red carpet look and attends pretty much every opening night and London launch going. While it used to take her hours to perfect her hair and make-up, these days she can get glammed in no time. "These days I don't spent long on make-up," she said.

"But when I was 18 the whole process would take two hours minimum and if you needed to put tan on or get your hair and nails done you would start the day before.

"Now I've whittled it down to 15 minutes. When you have to you just learn to get ready fast.

"At the BAFTAs I had 15 minutes max to get red-carpet ready.

"Now at celeb or evening events I just add red lipstick to look a bit more glam. I try to keep it simple," she told Now magazine.
