Jon Bon Jovi to rock the RDS... and he'll join Mary on X Factor

ROCKER Jon Bon Jovi will be performing in Ireland next year, the Herald can reveal.

The hirsute hunk (48) has confirmed that he will be coming to Dublin as part of his group's sell-out tour and will perform at the RDS on June 28 and June 29, 2011.

Irish fans had been keeping their fingers crossed that he would come to the capital city as part of his global tour and they now have two summer dates to look forward to.

The Grammy-award winning group, which has sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, are currently in the middle of their massive Full Circle tour. They will perform in Japan, Australia and New Zealand before the end of the year ahead of their European dates in 2011.

As well as taking to stages all over the world, he'll shortly be joining our own Mary Byrne on The X Factor this weekend as he promotes his latest release. The charismatic frontman will be strutting his stuff in front of millions of viewers this Sunday to perform a song from the band's Greatest Hits collection.

Also there will be superstar Rihanna who'll be singing her new single.

This will be the second time that Bon Jovi has been on X Factor, having also performed on the hit programme last year. And to get his Irish fans in the mood, a new release entitled Bon Jovi -- The Circle Tour will be shown at selected cinemas in Ireland next month. Tickets for their Irish concert will go on sale from November 11 at €65.70.

However, for those with a bigger budget, the band is also offering a VIP package.

It includes a three-night stay at the Burlington hotel as well as a pre-concert cocktail party.

But it won't come cheap -- the VIP tickets cost a cool €1,190 and go up to €1,479.
