It's a boy! Egypt is first baby for singing superstar Alicia
SINGER Alicia Keys has given birth to a baby boy -- named Egypt Dean.
It's the first child for the 29-year-old superstar and the fourth for her husband, music producer/rapper Swizz Beatz.
Beatz, whose real name is Kaseem Dean, and Keys married in July. The proud father (31) took time to tweet: "I'm so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life."
Singer Mary J. Blige also tweeted her congratulations on Thursday's birth.
Recent success for Keys came from her hit song Empire State Of Mind (Part II), with the catchy "Hear it for New York, New York, New York" lyrics. Not surprisingly, the singer chose the Big Apple as the birth place.
Before the birth Beatz said: "Alicia is definitely one of those great parents-to-be. She's super ready."
