I'll still do free gig vows Rob

ROBBIE Williams insists he will honour his pledge to perform a free concert here to make up for a gig in 2006.

The singer admitted that his performance at Croke Park four years ago had been "under par" and revealed how the shock of it had stopped him doing any live solo concerts since.

"There was something wrong with me. I could remember walking up to the stage and saying to my mate Johnny I never felt like that before. It was really scary. Croke Park was waiting for me. I couldn't understand what was happening to me or my body.

"Then I was on stage and I felt absolutely shocking. I thought I felt so shocking, surely this was coming out to the audience and I was sure I was doing a bad job," said Robbie (right).

"The fact is I haven't done any concerts since then."

Williams promised the 78,000 fans from the stage that he would return to Ireland and play a free concert to make up for the "under par show".

"I will get round to doing that," said Robbie as Take That announced a concert in Croke Park on July 18 next year.
