Even MORE bad luck for our Louis... another Wagner

IRISH X Factor judge Louis Walsh has been dealt the worst category... again.

The Mayo man has been dealt the over-26 category and has been handed a novelty act for the second year in a row.

Louis has already completed filming on the judges' houses stage of the contest, having flown to Barcelona with pop-icon Sinitta last week.

He and Simon Cowell's former girlfriend spent nearly a week in a luxurious villa outside the Spanish capital as they whittled down the remaining hopefuls to four.

Given that he's the most experienced X Factor judge, producers deemed him the best choice when it came to looking after the older contestants.

"He looked after Mary Byrne last year and did a great job, considering how well she has done. It made a nice change for him from mentoring the groups, who he had several times before that, so he's really looking forward to the challenge," said an insider.

However, he was said to be less than impressed when X Factor bosses gave him a novelty finalist for a second time. Last year saw him having to mentor shaggy-haired crooner Wagner, who ended up coming sixth in the competition, but he proved to be quite a handful for the show's bosses.

This time around, Louis has been told to pick another character similar to the Brazilian performer, in order to have a novelty act in the competition.

Meanwhile, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa Contostavlos have had their first-ever spat behind the scenes. And it was all to do with who got to mentor Irish teenager Janet Devlin (16), who has now been installed as an early favourite. Both of the judges were hoping to have the Ellie Goulding-lookalike in their group, given that she looks set to be such a strong contender in the competition.

However, Tulisa was given the bands to mentor instead, given her experience with N-Dubz while former Destiny's Child star Kelly ended up with the girls, meaning talented Janet is now in her group.

"They both wanted her but Kelly won out in the end and it's fair to say that Tulisa wasn't happy. She's over it now and thinks the bands she has are going to be really strong," the insider added.

She will now head to her father's home country of Greece to mentor the groups, while Kelly will jet off to Miami to select her four finalists.

Gary Barlow will take on the boys category and is heading to the most glamorous location of all, namely Robbie Williams' lavish pad in LA, this week.
