Irish model Li Ann Smal is looking forward to a Spanish siesta after signing for another top European agency.
A supermodel in the making, the Greystones teen shares the same London agency as Kate Moss, has hung out with model of the moment Cara Delevingne, and recently landed an exclusive campaign for fashion power house Burberry.
And it seems her star power is on the rise after her Dublin agency, Distinct Model Management, confirmed that she has been snapped up by Spain’s number one company, Traffic Models.
With offices in Barcelona and Madrid, the agency are proudly displaying Li Ann as one of their new faces’ after securing her signature.
Last month, the 19-year-old, whose mother hails from Malaysia, was hand-picked by top designer Burberry to take part in a special runway show, alongside British superstar Delevingne and model Suki Waterhouse to mark the opening of its new flagship store in Shanghai.
Li Ann, who is represented by agency Storm in London, later discovered she had been chosen to be the face of Christopher Bailey’s limited collection for the Burberry brand.
Her Irish model agent Anne Morgan told the
“I will be sending her to a number of other markets throughout the summer before London Fashion Week because I imagine that her first fashion week season there will be very busy for her,” explained Anne.
“I have had plenty of agencies contacting me about her but I am very protective of my girls so the priority here is placing them with an agency who will look after her in the same way I have.”
Based in the UK, Li Ann is excited about her return trip to Ireland this weekend as she gears up to take part in the mini marathon, despite admitting that running is not her strong point.
Li Ann will be joined by model boss Anne and fellow Distinct models, including Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model runner-up Sarah Kennedy to take part in the marathon in aid of Little Hill Animal Rescue in Kildare.
