HUNDREDS of Jedward fans turned up to audition for their upcoming panto.
Open auditions for their Christmas panto Jedward and the Beanstalk were held in the city centre yesterday afternoon, and had queues of young fans hoping to land a part.
Similarly to last year, the former X Factor and Eurovision stars are looking for their fans to star alongside them and Linda Martin in their panto, which will take place in the Olympia Theatre.
Applications for the open auditions were published in the Herald, which will be media partners for this year's panto, throughout the week and received a massive response.
Fans who queued for the auditions were put through their paces by panto producers at the Liffey Trust Studios, close to the IFSC.
The auditionees, who were aged between seven and 18, will know of their fate in the next few weeks.
Auditions for the panto took place two days after the boys appeared on the Late Late Show performing their new single Wow Oh Wow.
Fans had queued for hours to catch a glimpse of their idols before their Late Late performance - the good-natured fans also cheered the presidential candidates as they made their way into studios for their debate, in between their incessant chanting of 'Jedward'.
The boys have embarked on tours of Germany, Sweden and Estonia lately and their star continues to rise thanks to their Eurovision performance and recent stint on Big Brother.
