Hayes Of Glory

Andrea Hayes, co-presenter of Animal A&E and Ireland AM's TV critic, talks to Emma Blain

Cooking: Richard Corrigan or ready-made? With such a hectic work schedule I rely on delicious ready-made food and Marks & Spencer never lets me down.

Wardrobe: Penneys or Prada? Both, although, really, I have more from Penneys and I lust after Prada.

Fashion: victim or setter? Oh gosh, more of a victim, but I like to think that I have my own style.

Shopping: twice a season or twice a week? I couldn't possibly wait to shop by season. When I see something that I must have, I buy it -- although that tends to be more from the high street.

Holidays: discover Ireland or discover the world? I adore travelling the world. I had a wonderful time in Hong Kong and the USA over Christmas and New Year. But I'm getting to see a lot more of Ireland with Animal A&E.

Drink: Guinness or Grey Goose? A hot Powers whiskey with a slice of lemon studded with cloves.

Friends: quantity or quality? I have amazing friends of exceptional quality. You know who you are!

Weekends: down the local or cruising Krystle? It's got to be down the local for me as it means I can toddle in my heels and not worry about trying to get a cab home.

Beauty regime: one minute or one hour? I use Olay's Total Effects Touch of Foundation along with a slick of lip gloss and Max Factor's False Lash Effect and then I'm good to go.

Money: rainy day or live for today? Live for today. Life's too short and today is a present to cherish.

Commute: public transport or pay the meter? I love driving my Mazda MX5.

Property: smell the sea or see the smog? I absolutely adore walking along the beach with my dog.

Pets: dog devotee or cat crusader? My four-legged friend Dash is a lively labrador retriever, hence his name! He keeps me fit and is always in good form.

Health: alternative or aspirin? Aspirin, because it works.

Technology: technophobe or techno savvy? I would be lost without my iPhone.

On your iPod: Beyoncé or Bach? Oh that's easy: bootylicious Beyoncé.

Men: brains or brawn? I am blessed to have both in my hubby.

Reading: chick lit or not in a fit? With such incredible Irish writers like Marion Keyes and Cecelia Ahern, to name but a few, I make sure that I have a stack of chick-lit next to my bed.
