U2's Larry makes his return to the big screen
U2 Larry's starring role to be shown across the US
ROCK star Larry Mullen Jr is about to see his name in lights across America as an actor.
The U2 drummer's movie, A Thousand Times Goodnight, has been picked up in a major deal with global distributor Film Movement and is due to hit cinemas in the US and Canada.
Makers of the drama, starring Juliette Binoche in the lead role, have also signed deals to release the production in Japan, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Turkey and Latin America.
The film tells the story of a war photographer who struggles to balance her job and family. It was made for a reported €5m, and was offered €300,000 from the Irish Film Board.
Mullen, from Artane, appears as the other half of Irish actress Maria Doyle Kennedy and both play friends of Binoche's character. This is the second film he has featured in.
