Love/Hate star Charlie Murphy is set to star in RTE's 1916 drama Rebellion, but before filming starts she's involved in a "gory" new project.
The Wexford native (right) is working on a new TV show that could see her star rise in the US.
"I'm in Budapest doing something for BBC America at the moment and it's fantastic," she said.
"It's great fun - lots of blood and gore, which is great craic."
The programme also stars Bray-born Eva Birthistle, who is set to appear in Brooklyn with Saoirse Ronan and Domhnall Gleeson, which is slated for release later this year.
Charlie will spend the summer filming Rebellion in different spots across the capital with her co-stars Sarah Greene and Brian Gleeson.
She plays Dubliner Elizabeth Butler, and she already has another job lined up for when that wraps.
While she couldn't name the show, it's believed to be a second series of the BBC One police drama Happy Valley.
