TV3's Lisa Cannon was busy bringing some Irish style to the Oscars weekend in LA.

The Xpose presenter jetted to Hollywood last week to take in a glamorous roster of some of the glitziest events in Tinsel Town.

She was also on the red carpet last night to chat to some of the biggest stars in the movie business as the 87th Annual Academy Awards ceremony took place in the Dolby Theatre.

Though the 35-year-old was there to work, it seemed as though the Ballymount studio were far from her mind as she rubbed shoulders with the stars.

Everyone knows that the parties leading up to the Oscars are just as important as the big night itself and bubbly Lisa jumped straight in to make some new friends.

The chatty presenter nabbed a picture with Johnny Galecki who stars in The Big Bang Theory. She also caught up with the star of The Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev and with X-Men actor James Marsden.

It has been a whirlwind week for the host as she has had a string of red carpets and late night parties to attend.

But last night she headed along to the most famous Oscar party of them all: Elton John's viewing party in West Hollywood.

With a guest list to die for, the annual fundraiser was even bigger than ever last night with a Gordon Ramsay-designed menu and edible gold cocktails. Elton has been hosting the famous bash for 23 years, raising money for AIDS research.

Lisa will be back home with a bang this week to continue her wedding planning - she is due to wed fiance Richard Keatley later this year.

"I can't even think about it at the minute, with the time difference it's hard to even get a good time to chat on the phone," she told the Herald.
