Jack Reynor is set to join fellow Irish actor Cillian Murphy in Boston-set thriller, Free Fire.
The film is directed by Ben Wheatley known for Kill List.
Set in the 1970s, it tells the story of an arms deal at a warehouse that goes wrong for two Irishmen, played by Murphy and Michael Smiley.
It is not yet known what role Reynor (23) has, but he will be on familiar ground as he recently starred in the Irish film Glassland opposite Smiley.
The film also stars Brie Larson, who is the lead in Lenny Abrahamson's highly anticipated drama Room.
It's been a busy year for Reynor, who has also been cast in Jim Sheridan's The Secret Scripture, John Carney's Sing Street, Andy Serkis's Jungle Book: Origins and Cédric Jimenez's World War II drama HHHH.
He was nominated for an IFTA for Glassland and also starred in A Royal Night Out and Macbeth.
