Eoghan misses out on V
Voice Of Ireland presenter Eoghan McDermott (below) had to give up his guest pass to the weekend's V Festival with celeb pal Niall Horan due to work commitments.
But the Dubliner says kicking back with the blond heart-throb is one of biggest perks of life in London. The 28-year-old has been living across the water for two years and has landed a presenting role on the UK version of Celebrity Apprentice for Channel 5.
And Eoghan is looking forward to shooting the breeze with pal Niall once the gruelling One Direction world tour ends.
"That's kind of all we do," laughed the presenter. "Niall and the other Irish guys have kind of become my circle of friends over there, so it's nice when we all get a chance to meet up," he told the Diary.
"Not that I don't have any English friends, but the Irish do all kind of stick together."
And when Niall is busy, the Dubliner has plenty of other Irish celebs to keep him company. "I would see people like Angela Scanlon and Darren Kennedy a good bit so we're good friends," he added.
It may have been a quiet weekend for Eoghan, but there was plenty of action on the Dublin social scene as some UK reality TV stars stopped by.
After party boy Calum Best painted the town red on Thursday, Geordie Shore's Vicky Pattison touched down for a night on the tiles on Saturday.
She stopped by Lillie's Bordello with pals where she was spotted knocking back champagne in the VIP Library Bar.
