Baby boy for Cecelia and David
AUTHOR Cecelia Ahern has become a mother for the second time.
The thrilled 31-year-old chic-lit writer and her husband, David Keoghan, welcomed baby boy, Sonny, into the world on Monday.
The latest arrival also signals a fourth grandchild for former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
Brother-in-law Nicky Byrne clearly couldn't wait to reveal his excitement and took to his social networking site yesterday to congratulate the happy family.
"Just met my brand new nephew Sonny. Only [three] days old. A little smasher: well done Cecelia [and] Dave," the Westlife star wrote online.
A spokesperson for the Cecelia told the Herald this morning: "Mother and baby are doing well, they've returned home now."
Cecelia had their first child, a daughter, Robin, in December 2009 at the Rotunda Hospital, in Dublin.
Rumours have been circulating that Cecelia and David are looking for a bigger house for their growing brood in Malahide.
She announced her second pregnancy in March and, speaking in May, told of her excitement about having another child.
"I'm into my seventh month now, not long to go. I don't know the sex of the baby. I didn't find out last time either so we're just going to leave it as a surprise ... I don't mind, I've no feeling either way."
The PS I Love You author, who has raked in €5.5m from selling film rights to her novels, married David in June 2010.
Ms Ahern's eighth book, Time Of My Life, was released last October and told the story of Lucy Silchester, who is prompted to transform her life by a mysterious visitor who encourages her to reflect on past decisions.
