FORMER X Factor contestant Melanie McCabe claims allegations that Misha B is a bully on X Factor couldn't be further from the truth.
Melanie (18), who made it as far as the judges' houses section of the series, told the Herald that she is still in touch with Misha and counts her as a friend.
Although she is no longer competing in the series, the pair formed a close bond and Melanie claims that Misha's talent might be the reason behind all the allegations.
Misha, who is being mentored by Kelly Rowland, came under fire last weekend when judges Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos claimed that she had been bullying other acts behind the scenes.
But Melanie told the Herald that her friend is not a bully and that she met her during the live shows last weekend.
"When Misha saw me we just had a moment and ran and gave each other a massive hug. It was horrible what went on last weekend and she's honestly such a nice person, that's what is really annoying about it. She's not a bully at all. She's really, really lovely, she was never horrible to me once," she said.
Meanwhile, ousted X Factor contestant Sami Brookes has dismissed suggestions she was bullied by Misha before last week's live shows.
"Me and Misha, we had a little disagreement on Friday, I can't even remember what it's about, but we're really good mates. I think due to the pressure of the show, being tired and everything, we were both crying.
"I can stand up for myself, but I'm not getting bullied. I think all the girls have disagreements. People aren't used to each other, it's a different environment so people are going to argue about fake tan and things like that. It's like a big family so there are bound to be some arguments."
Melanie admits that the contestants are starting to feel the heat.
"I think that people are going to start backstabbing because they all want to win at the end of the day. There is so much pressure backstage and they probably aren't getting that much sleep so they are going to start bitching about each other, which isn't nice but it's going to happen. It's just unfortunate that it happened to Misha," she said.
