X Factor mania grips capital as screaming fans mob stars' hotel
AS every boyband knows, the future's bright when you have hundreds of screaming female fans outside your hotel.
So it should be no surprise that members of X Factor's One Direction, including Irish teen Niall Horan, were beaming as they left their city centre hotel.
One Direction mania has gripped the capital in scenes reminiscent of when the Beatles or Take That came to town.
Since Monday, hundreds of teenage girls have been making their way to The Morgan Hotel in Temple Bar to cheer on the boyband who were staying there.
The band were in town as part of the X Factor tour.
Mary Byrne also received a huge reception in her home town.
The X Factor stars have been staying in their hotel since Monday, and are doing an unprecedented five-show run in the O2.
Ballyfermot woman Mary Byrne (51) is putting the finishing touches to her album.
The powerful singer is also much in demand in venues across Ireland and the UK.
And X Factor supremo Simon Cowell has big plans for One Direction, and members Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik and our very own Mullingar teen Niall, and aims to turn them into the next big boyband.
With the reaction the band have been getting in Dublin all week, that shouldn't be too hard.
