KYLIE Minogue confirmed her status as the reigning princess of pop at last night's sold-out performance in the O2 arena.
The highly anticipated concert has been one of the most talked about gigs of the year, and the superstar singer (42) didn't disappoint Irish fans with her €25m production, featuring over-the-top choreography and outrageous bespoke costumes.
The pint-sized Aussie will be taking to the stage again tonight for the second and final leg of her Irish Aphrodite -- Les Folies tour, which has been described as one of the most complex ever created for an arena.
And she looked every bit the goddess in her eight custom-made Dolce and Gabbana costumes, each worth several thousand euro.
More than 10,000 Irish fans flocked to the O2 to catch a glimpse of their favourite star, among them was comedienne Katherine Lynch and Xpose star Lisa Cannon, who both revealed their excitement at seeing Kylie.
Just minutes after walking off stage following her final set, the down-to-earth diva thanked her Irish fans, saying: "Thank you all for an incredible night."
It was an emotional return to the stage for Kylie, who has not performed in Dublin since April 2005 shortly before she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
But she was determined to return in style -- the €10m set featured over a million moving parts, including 30 high impact water jets, fountains and rain curtains.
