This feisty solicitor is making big enemies in Apprentice by getting onside with the boys
THIS is the battling solicitor who has found herself in the middle of a three-person clique in The Apprentice house.
Caroline McHugh (26) qualified to practice law just months before she applied to enter Bill Cullen's house.
The single Roscommon woman has been the centre of this year's love story, with speculation mounting as to whether she will hook up with professional poker player Kieran Walsh.
The youngest of four children, she previously thought of going into the nursing profession or becoming a vet and friends said that she has a strong business streak.
But over the past three weeks she has made enemies with a number of girls as she sidled up to two of the men in the house.
As team leader, she selected Jamie Moran and Kieran Walsh to be on her side of the challenge.
Yesterday, fired contestant Niamh Humphries blamed Caroline for her firing.
"It was like a train crash -- I could see it coming," she said. "I wasn't surprised at all to be brought into the boardroom.
"They had their own clique," she added. "You were not going to see the two boys in the boardroom."
When Caroline picked Niamh and Ciara to come back into the boardroom, the two girls were far from happy.
Niamh told the team leader that Kieran "would have hung you, he is no friend."
Caroline, who has the least amount of business experience in the house, broke down into tears.
And after she was fired, Niamh refused to hug Caroline and said stubbornly: "You went with the boys."
Caroline said that she was disappointed that one of her fellow contestants would think so low of her.
