Things are looking up for fashion
DUBLIN'S long-awaited Abercrombie and Fitch store is on the way. And in case you miss it, it has erected a giant poster of a semi-naked torso in College Green.
The provocative image have caused a stir on the streets of Dublin, although the Irish advertising authority has not yet received any complaints.
The Advertisement Standards Association of Ireland states that advertisements should be "legal, decent, honest and truthful"
However a spokeswoman for the ASAI said that the advertisements are in compliance with this code.
"We have not had any complaints. We have strict rules on decency and what is allowed to be displayed in advertisements. We didn't feel that these [advertisements] broke this code so we were happy to give them the go ahead."
The store is opening later this year, following the success of its sister shop, Hollister, in Dundrum Town Centre.
The Abercrombie shop will be located in the former Habitat store in College Green and is expected to create between 200 and 300 jobs.
