The Wanted jet in to Dundrum next week

- Screaming teenagers are expected to set up camp at HMV in Dundrum next week as The Wanted jet in to sign copies of their debut album.

The boyband which includes Irish singer Siva Kaneswaran, will be at the store on Friday, October 22 at 4.30pm.

The Wanted are fast becoming the band to watch since the release of their UK number 1 summer debut single All Time Low. The 13-track album features the hit along with soon-to-be-released follow- up single Heart Vacancy.

- The swanky new Gibson hotel will be celebrating its official launch tonight with a star-studded bash.

Entertaining the guests will be Fight Like Apes and DJ Mo Kelly. 500 people from the worlds of television, music, the arts and business will be in attendance.

The night starts with owner Harry Crosbie welcoming guests at a champagne cocktail reception at 6.30pm.

- FOOD & WINE Magazine has announced the line up for its annual Christmas Show at the RDS in November.

The three-day event, sponsored by Bord Bia and Miele, will see Ireland's top chefs demonstrating their skills in a kitchen theatre. Among the line-up will be Ross Lewis, Derry Clarke and Kevin Thornton. Other chefs who will be joining in the fun include Neven Maguire, Paul Flynn and Sunil Ghai.

In between demonstrations, there will also be free wine-tastings, masterclasses -- and top restaurants will also be offering 'tapas-style' samples of their menus.

- Legendary Latinos The Cuban Brothers are set to inject some heat into the capital's weekend festivities.

The break-dancing DJs will be out to wow fans twice. They will hit the stage in Dandelion on Friday night before taking to the floor in The Button Factory on Saturday night.

- British singer songwriter KT Tunstall has announced three Irish concerts.

She will play the Radisson Hotel, Galway, on Saturday, February 19, Cork's Opera House on February 20 and the Olympia Theatre in Dublin on Monday, February 21.
