THE fashion crew were out in force this week for a champagne reception held at Kiehl's boutique on Wicklow Street.
Organised by PR queen Roisin Tierney-Crowe, lots of familiar faces ventured out into the chilly night to press the flesh at the festive bash.
Attendees included presenter Darren Kennedy, who has been building up a firm following online thanks to his online fashion series on ITV.com. Other attendees included Aoibhin Garrihy, who's going to be busy over the coming weeks as she organises a charity event in Co Clare. Many of her fellow Fair City stars also supported the event. TV news reporter Dyane Connor was also spotted catching up with pals and is engrossed in planning her September 2013 nuptials to her journalist partner -- with plans to walk down the aisle in a Kathy de Stafford number.
RTE's Nuala Carey was also there, alongside socialite Kathy de Stafford as they checked out the latest range from the company, as did man-about-town Norman Pratt. The shindig was held to celebrate Kiehl joining up with New York pop surrealist Kenny Scharf.
•The red carpet was rolled out at the Jameson distillery last night for the official party for Xpose magazine.
It was access all areas for the programme's four hosts as they took centre stage at the fashion event. It kicked off with a drinks reception for attendees before a fashion show MC-ed by Lisa Cannon and featuring some sexy Brazilian samba dancers.
Among those who took to the catwalk to show off all the hottest looks were Yomiko Chen, Lynn Kelly and former Miss Ireland Aoife Cogan, as well as rising star Eve Connolly while guests browsed the new publication.
•The National Show Centre near Dublin Airport will form the venue for a very special musical concert, namely the National Winter Solstice Festival.
Aimed at celebrating the famous December 21 pagan festival, there will be live music the night before as well-known acts take to the stage. This year's line-up includes performers, including like Liam O Maonlai, Danu, Tom Green and Madeleine Doherty.
Revellers will be partying the night away as they enjoy a live feed from Newgrange at sunrise and tickets for the alcohol-free event cost €49.
Meanwhile, this evening will see the former Voice Of Ireland judge Brian Kennedy taking to the stage at the Workman's Club. He'll be going back to basics when he performs a solo acoustic show at an intimate concert. The following night will see stars, including The Divine Comedy, Cathy Davey and Sharon Shannon, entertaining punters. Tickets cost €20 with profits going towards the Dogs in Distress charity.
•TV chef Neven Maguire will swap the kitchen for the outdoors this Sunday as he takes centre stage at the Craft of Christmas fair at Tayto Park.
Featuring products from over 40 local producers of foods and crafts, there's a plethora of different stalls for attendees to browse.
Neven will be giving a cookery demonstration as he shows off all his culinary skills, with the event running for another two weekends before Christmas. There will also be brass bands as well as carol singers, storytelling and face painting for children.
