SNOW Patrol will be joining forces with Welsh troubadour Florence Welsh this summer for a unique concert in the Phoenix Park.

The two award-winning acts will be performing in the northside venue on July 8 in what is widely expected to be one of the top concerts of the summer.

Snow Patrol have just finished a sell-out tour of Ireland and the UK with their latest album Fallen Empires.

The second album from Florence and the Machine has also been a massive success, having sold more than a million copies in its first two weeks of release. Tickets for the concert will go on sale on February 24 priced €59.50.

wwwTHE party was on at Leopardstown over the weekend, namely Club 92.

Hordes of scantily clad young ladies were putting their best foot forward in a bid to win the hunt for the face of Bavaria City Racing Dublin.

Putting the young hopefuls through their paces at the bash were top models Rozanna Purcell and Daniella Moyles.

The winner will nab a contract from model agent Andrea Roche as well as taking centre stage at the motoring spectacle taking place in Dublin on June 3.

wwwTODAY FM presenter Ray D'Arcy will take centre stage at the Olympia next month for the fourth Inspirations gig in aid of children's charity Barretstown.

The March 30 event will feature acts performing songs by their musical heroes as well as their own material.

Among those confirmed to perform are Sinead O'Connor, Something Happens, Republic of Loose, and Ham Sandwich. with more names announced over the next few weeks.

Tickets, priced €25, are available from the usual outlets.

Meanwhile, the same venue will play host to 2fm's Hector O hEochagain on March 9 as he hosts the One Night Only Elvis Extravaganza.

Special guests including Bressie and Ryan Sheridan will be taking to the stage, with tickets only available from station competitions.
