Stunning Emma sparkles in €8k prize diamonds
MISS Ireland Emma Waldron caused quite a splash last night when she stepped out to the glitzy Irish/Italian ball at the Mansion House wearing an €8,000 diamond necklace.
Dressed to impress in a floor-length black gown, the stunning beauty queen explained how she had fallen in love with the exquisite piece of jewellery, which was raffled off later in the night.
Earlier in the day Emma (22) had spent the afternoon trying on expensive diamond rings at Boodles store, on Grafton Street, for a special Valentine's segment for her new RTE web show, Style Nation.
And the BScene model admits she wasn't shy about joking with her boyfriend of almost a year, Manners, that she would be expecting a similar rock if he ever decides to go down on one knee.
"I was telling Manners he'll have to get me a similar ring when the time comes," she laughed.
"Ah no, we're nowhere near ready for that right now. We just celebrated the one year anniversary of the first time we met at a friend's party at the weekend so we just recreated last year's fun.
"It's all going great between us, he's a really lovely guy. I'm very lucky," she added.
Emma went on to explain how she's thriving in her new role in front of the cameras and is determined TV presenting is the career she plans to pursue.
The leggy model, who trained as a primary school teacher, says there are many similarities between the two professions as it's all about explaining the subject matter to your audience.
Emma attended last night's invite only ball alongside Italian beauty Maria Fusco.
Among the other big names were Lillie's Bordello hostess Hayley Rock and co-owner of the club David Morrissey.
