Former Brookside actress Claire Sweeney was leading the pack in the style stakes, as she enjoyed a practice run ahead of today's Ladies Day event, which she will judge alongside Jackie Llewellyn Bowen and Sarah Apsley to name but a few.
The glamorous blonde explained how she was delighted to accept the invitation, as she has a keen interest in racing and once owned her own racehorse.
Claire, whose grandfather is from Co Clare, is in Cheltenham for the week to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's production Tell Me On A Sunday at the town's local theatre.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star admitted that she was nervous about the prospect of picking a winner at Ladies Day, however.
"It's slightly nerve-wracking as here's very different to Aintree and Ascot, there's a lot of tweed," she explained. "I have a pink Dolce and Gabbana dress and a black lace Dolce and Gabbana coat to go over it."
