Sonya's next big part ... having a baby

TOP Irish actress Sonya Macari has revealed how she can't wait to have babies with her musician fiance, Colin Devlin.

She said she would love to follow in her sister Virginia's footsteps by experiencing motherhood; seeing her little nephew Thor for the first time has made her broody.

The Tudors beauty, who also had a part in The Artist, will walk down the aisle with her long-term partner at an intimate ceremony next October and then hopes to start a family.

"I'm definitely at the stage where I'm looking forward to having children. I think it's just human nature to get to that stage eventually, so it's exciting," she said.

She recently jetted back to Ireland from her adopted LA to catch up with family and friends and also get her first look at Thor, who was born in March to Virginia and partner Kaste.

"When I came into Virginia's, he just looked up and gave me this big smile," she continued.

This is also a working trip for Sonya as she has taken on the lead role in a TV pilot series entitled Magpie, which explores issues surrounding relationships.

"I play Julia who confides in a lady she meets in a park and tells her how she has some serious marital issues. She's been married four years and she's exploring the whole issues behind marriage and children and adultery. We don't know who's going to pick it up but it's going well."
