Short notice for Kamal's date with cousin DeVito

HE may be his second cousin but it seems reigning Mister World Kamal Ibrahim was one of the last to know Hollywood legend Danny DeVito was in town this week.

The BScene model, who has not met with the pint-sized star since he was a child, explained how he just found out about his visit to Dublin yesterday and is now busy trying to set up a meeting with his famous relative before he jets back to LA.

The Taxi and Batman actor is in Dublin as part of a new movie that he's producing, which will centre around a young girl who sails across the Atlantic ocean in a small boat.

DeVito has been staying at the Clarence hotel during his visit to Ireland and even posted a picture on Twitter showing his foot dangling over Dublin's skyline from the balcony of the plush city centre hotel.

Kamal is currently contemplating a move to London to further his television presenting and modelling career and could no doubt benefit from Danny's numerous A-list connections.

Before that, the Limerick native is due to take off to New York next month for a number of work commitments, as well as scheduled trips to Korea and Australia.

Kamal will also lend his name to a worthwhile cause next Sunday afternoon when he takes part in a charity skydive at the Irish Parachute Centre in aid of the Big Brother, Big Sister foundation, after the previously scheduled event was cancelled due to the snow before Christmas.
