Seeing my big bottom on TV made me diet -- Lucy
Lucy Kennedy avoided the rush for an IFTAs dress by buying her gown last October.
The mum-of-one snapped up the purple Halston Heritage gown after she wore it for a glossy magazine shoot for VIP magazine last year.
The brand is a favourite with Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker and, more importantly, says Lucy, it flattered her post- baby figure.
The 2fm star no doubt had some room to spare in the wrap dress, however, after shedding several pounds in recent months.
"It's good, it kind of holds everything in," Lucy said of the purple dress. "It's from the Halston Heritage shop in Brown Thomas and I love it.
"I've joined Weightwatchers now. It's brilliant, I'm happy now. I've kind of lost the baby weight.
"Weightwatchers is good because you can eat everything you want. You can pick and choose, rather than just eating low carbs, so it's all good. It was actually a scene in Living With Lucy where I was living with Crystal Swing that did it.
"I was running down in my Penneys pyjamas being chased by a chicken and just looking at my fat bottom, I went, 'right that's it', and I joined Weightwatchers. That was the point of no return for me."
Lucy went on to explain how her adorable tot has just started walking and all the running around after him was helping to keep her trim.
"Jack's great, he's 14 months already," she said. "He's at that kind of stage where he's trying to walk and he's trying to get up on his feet. He's great though, I'm still in love.
"Actually he's a good way to lose weight, he keeps me so busy."
And while her hubbie Richie Governey was on baby-sitting duty while Lucy attended Saturday night's glitzy red-carpet event, she couldn't stay out too late given that she had to be up at 5am the following morning to present her 2fm weekend breakfast show alongside Baz Ashmawy.
Fellow IFTA attendee Lottie Ryan also donned a familiar outfit to the glitzy ceremony to cover the event for RTE's The Daily Show in a short gold dress.
The brunette beauty also took to the stage to collect the gong for Best Factual Programme on behalf of her late father Gerry Ryan, who won for Operation Transformation. Lottie had already rocked the dress at RTE's People of the Year Awards.
