Schoolgirl Kellie Anne to star in new L'Oreal campaign with Cheryl

A SCHOOLGIRL is set to star alongside Cheryl Cole in L'Oreal's latest Irish campaign.

Kildare teenager Kellie Anne Purthill (17) is set to become the envy of schoolgirls across the country after landing the coveted spot alongside the former X Factor star in the L'Oreal's new Casting Creme Gloss TV commercial.

Kellie Anne, from Leixlip, landed the role after winning an online competition.

Aspiring dancer Kellie Anne is now preparing to follow in the footsteps of Cheryl, Eva Longoria, Frieda Pinto and Jennifer Lopez who have all at some stage uttered the famous catchphrase "Because you're worth it".

Flame-haired Kellie Anne beat hundreds of women from across Ireland and Britain to land the commercial.

Last weekend, she travelled to London to shoot the commercial where she flicked her luxurious tresses alongside Girls Aloud singer Cheryl.

With her bright red hair and icy blue eyes, Kellie Anne was an instant hit with the L'Oreal judging panel after uploading a picture of herself to the company's Facebook page.

The online competition saw the face of the brand, Cheryl, choose her favourite girls to appear in her new campaign. L'Oreal called for "fiery redheads, tempting blondes and rich brunettes" to apply for the once in a lifetime shoot.

After making it as a finalist Kellie Anne was flown to London for a special casting day, where she received a makeover by the company's world class hair and makeup artists. She then completed a live audition and a TV screen test in front of a panel of judges.

Weeks later Kellie Anne landed the role of the 'Fiery Redhead' in the new commercial which was shot last Friday and Saturday with the glamorous Cheryl herself.

But this isn't the first time that Kellie Anne has rubbed shoulders with top celebrities.

Last November the Kildare teen won a meet and greet with songstress Katy Perry, when she performed her final California Dreams show at the O2, Dublin.

Kellie Anne even boasted that she taught the songstress to Irish dance when she met her backstage.

And last year while working as a dancer at the IFTAs, the bubbly red head hung out with Sex And The City star Kim Catrall backstage.

Surprisingly Kellie Anne is not signed up with any modelling agency, but she is set for stardom once the new L'Oreal commercials start to air next month.
