Saucy scenes with Colin were so awkward but hubby was on hand...
GORGEOUS actress Kate Beckinsale has revealed that filming sex scenes with Colin Farrell was really "'awkward'.
However, the 38-year-old admitted she felt sorry for her Total Recall co-star Farrell (35) on set because her husband Len Wiseman directed the movie.
In what was a difficult day for the actors, Kate's hubby had to talk the pair through their heated love scene.
The British beauty said: "I think it was worse for Colin. It's awkward if you have to fondle the director's wife. Especially with Len saying, 'all right, that's it, you're fired'."
Mum-of-one Kate added that she has nothing but praise for our native hunk, however, and enjoyed working with the former Ballykissangel star in her latest flick.
"He's lovely. He's such a good actor, really professional and a brilliant dad. There's nothing bad you can say about Colin - and he's funny as well. I hate him," she laughed.
Kate plays the wife of Colin's character, a factory worker who suffers from strange violent dreams in the upcoming production, which is based on the 1990 version.
It has been a busy year for the naturally stunning A-lister, who has insisted she would never go down the Botox route to maintain her looks.
"I haven't even done Botox. Look, I can move my face."
The leggy brunette has come back from a three-year hiatus in Hollywood and features in the fourth instalment of action hit Underworld, along with crime drama Contraband.
"I didn't plan on a sabbatical, there just wasn't anything I was dying to do and I have to really make the decision -- is it worth me being away from my kid [her daughter Lily]," she said.
Kate underwent intense training for her role in Underworld, which sees her play feisty vampire warrioress Selene, as well as getting in tip top shape for Contraband.
"It's not really in my nature to do all this ass-kicking ... I got more bruises on Contraband than in all the Underworlds put together. It was like, 'let's not choreograph the fight, let's just see what happens'. All of a sudden Giovanni Ribisi (Contraband co-star) comes flying into my house and beats the sh** out of me."
