RTE's Grainne to turn on the style for rival channel

RTE star Grainne Seoige has landed a gig presenting today's Ladies Day highlights for a rival television channel.

The glamorous Galwegian jetted to Cheltenham this morning to bring viewers in the UK all the fashion highs and lows from the third meeting, which will see female punters turning on the style as they battle it out for the title of Best Dressed.

The mum-of-one, who wrapped on RTE'S The All Ireland Talent Show last Sunday night, got the gig through her agent Noel Kelly, having received permission from bosses at the national broadcaster to take the job.

It is thought that Grainne's links will be broadcast on both UTV and ITV.

Supermodel Jodie Kidd will be on hand to judge the Best Dressed Lady event, with candidates chosen throughout the morning in the build up to the first race at 1.30pm.

Three lucky female race-goers who impress the judges with their stylish attire, will enjoy a package of prizes which include 12 months' use of a brand new Alfa Romeo Mito, 24 hour use of an Aston Martin DB9, a tweed coat, a magnum of Champagne and a stay at the Greenway Hotel.

Other anticipated guests due to attend the style event include Liz Hurley, who lives in the Cheltenham area, author Jilly Cooper and Ireland's favourite WAG, Claudine Keane, and her mother Joan.
