Rosanna reveals the truth about her topless photos
FORMER Miss World Rosanna Davison has described the reappearance of four-year-old topless pictures as "random".
The model made headlines at the weekend when a newspaper printed photos of her wearing only a pair of blue bikini bottoms accompanied by an article about her stripping off for Playboy while on holidays in Mauritius.
But far from revealing all to holiday makers in the sunkissed island during her most recent trip, the Herald columnist explained how they were actually taken when she was in Spain in 2007 with her boyfriend Wes Quirke.
"Those pictures were taken in Marbella about four years ago so have no relevance to anything," the 27-year-old said.
"There was also a pic of me running on the beach that was taken by a paparazzo here last week. It's all quite random."
The top model has been holidaying in Mauritius for the past three weeks after flying over there for her annual trip with parents Chris de Burgh and mum Diana, her two brothers and her other half Wes.
Despite raising eyebrows at the daring move of posing for Playboy, she said it will be "as tasteful as possible" and wants it to be classy.
"When I'm old and wrinkly, I will have shots like these to look back on," she said.
Last year saw the model signing to a new European agent, Celebrity Network Management, who are based in Germany and also represent saucy burlesque star Dita Von Teese.
They negotiated the big-money deal with Hugh Hefner's magazine in a bid to increase her profile in Europe.
She'll now appear in the Spring 2012 edition of Playboy Europe after previously resisting lucrative offers.
"I have been taking more risks but as a model, I feel it's important to constantly re-invent your image and explore various challenges," she said. "However, I'm still very careful about how the shots turn out and the message I want to convey."
