Ronan exiled to the K Club as Yvonne refuses crisis talks
RONAN Keating was forced to spend the night in the K Club after being kicked out of the family home.
Wife Yvonne told the singer he was not welcome in the house at a crunch meeting. The singer then left and played a round of golf at the upmarket resort with his children in tow.
Last night, Ronan spent the night alone in an apartment on the Co Kildare estate. His Land Rover Discovery was parked up at the Straffan estate.
Friends said cheating Ronan had hoped to take the family to their summer home in Portugal where he and Yvonne could work out their problems out of the media glare.
However, within minutes of him arriving at the family home in Malahide following a weekend away, the Boyzone singer was sent packing.
Yvonne (36) made it clear that as far as she is concerned the marriage is over and nothing he can say about his affair with dancer Francine Cornell can excuse it.
And despite claims of a possible reconciliation from close friend, Keith Duffy's wife Lisa, it has emerged today that an amicable resolution between the couple is unlikely to happen.
Sources close to Ronan Keating have insisted that Yvonne will take him back, soon.
However, family sources have told the Herald that Yvonne is "so repulsed" by the revelations about her husband's carrying on, it is "unlikely she will ever forgive him".
The Boyzone singer had wanted to escape to Portugal with Yvonne for crisis talks, but she poured cold water on the idea within seconds of his return home yesterday.
The former model insisted everything is happening on her terms and for the moment at least she wanted to stay close to her family and friends.
Pals say that the spilt is also starting to take its toll on the couple's three young children as the days of domestic turmoil show no signs of ending.
Shamed Keating (33) is currently taking care of Jack (11), Marie (9) and Ali (4) and brought them with him as he played a round of golf yesterday.
"They're obviously very upset and confused by the events of the past week," said a source.
Ronan and the kids stayed in an apartment at the K-Club last night but he also has a second holiday home on the Algarve in Portugal. The Herald understands that he wanted to whisk the family, including Yvonne (36), to Portugal in a bid to flee the intense media attention surrounding the break-up.
However, his scorned wife scuppered the plans, telling the cheater that everything would happen on her terms. She will decide today whether to travel overseas or not.
A constant stream of friends and family has been calling to comfort Yvonne since she discovered that her husband was in a relationship with 26-year-old dancer Francine Cornell.
Yesterday afternoon, she went for coffee in Malahide with Keith Duffy's wife Lisa and two other pals, while earlier in the day her mother Ann called to the family mansion.
"Ronan had hoped that Yvonne might be willing to fly to Portugal for a couple of days so that they could discuss their marriage troubles away from the prying eyes of the media," said a source close to the star.
"He had a housekeeper go to the house in the Algarve to air it out yesterday and even had bags sent ahead."
The crooner is due to travel to Australia next month for a three-month stint as a judge on X Factor Down Under.
When contacted by the Herald, a representative for the show confirmed that, so far, he has not pulled out of his contract to work with Natalie Imbruglia and Guy Sebastian.
There is some speculation among friends that Keating will fulfil that commitment and Yvonne may give him another chance after time apart.
He is said to be keen to spend as much time as possible with the children before leaving for Australia. A source close to Ronan told the Herald that he is concerned about the attention the split has attracted.
"He feels that with the continuous presence of photographers outside their house and the constant stream of visitors to their door, he and Yvonne have no privacy in Dublin. If Yvonne is agreeable, he is hoping to take the kids over there to distract them from the turmoil," explained the close pal.
