Rain can't dampen mood as Chris and Sean tie the knot
THE sunshine was in short supply, but there was nothing the grooms would have changed about their special day.
Former 98FM boss Chris Doyle wed his partner of eight years, TV and radio presenter Sean Munsanje, at an intimate ceremony before 140 guests at the Aghadoe Heights Hotel in Killarney, Co Kerry, yesterday.
The grooms both wore tuxedos with black lapels and trim, but Mr Doyle chose a royal blue jacket while Mr Munsanje opted for white.
They wrote their own vows, which were exchanged in front of their families and closest friends.
Among the guests were some of Sean's former Xpose colleagues, including Aisling O'Loughlin.
Xpose anchorwoman Karen Koster is on honeymoon with her new husband, John McGuire, whom she wed last weekend.
TV3 news anchor Collette Fitzpatrick was also present and 98FM presenter, Ray Foley, was one of the groomsmen for his former boss, Chris Doyle.
"It's been amazing having all our family and friends in the same place to share it with us," Sean said.
His new husband, who recently stepped down as chief executive of 98FM, said it had been a very special day and a great celebration.
He revealed he was looking forward to taking a few months off before he plans his next move.
"We're going to take a giant honeymoon to Thailand and relax for three weeks, and then I'm taking a few months out to relax."
And as the ceremony ended the sun made an appearance and the rain even stopped allowing the newly weds to get some photographs taken against the splendid backdrop of the Killarney lakes.
