Racing's wedding of the year - but will jockey Nina be a Walsh now?

IT WAS a wedding for racing royalty.

Jockey Nina Carberry and Ted Walsh Jr tied the knot in a glamorous ceremony in Meath.

Some of the biggest names in racing fraternity -- and Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary -- celebrated the nuptials yesterday.

Ted's more famous brother Ruby served as best man for the day while Nina's brother Paul was also a guest along with trainers Noel Meade and Enda Bulger, Leinster rugby hero Leo Cullen and jockey Katie Walsh. But it was the resplendent Nina who stole the show in her traditional white dress, pearl necklace and veil.

Her bridesmaid wore blue while dad Tommy opted for a black suit and dickie bow.

But the big question that remains is whether the Walsh stable is to gain another jockey.

Asked whether Nina would be taking her husband new name, Ruby replied: "There's no point in asking me that -- she married him!"
