Publishers in battle to sign up Lisa as she pens Style Bible No 2
LOOKS like the desperate housewives are back with more books.
And if Lorraine Keane's decision to follow-up her disastrous first effort wasn't bad enough, now Lisa Fitzpatrick is jumping on the band wagon.
The so-called style queen Mrs Fitzpatrick is set to follow in her friend Lorraine Keane's footsteps by penning another tome on how to dress.
It seems like old hat is all the rage after the almost 40-year-old Mum-of-two had decided to release her second 'style bible' following her debut effort, Style And Fashion.
The mum-of-two said that her first attempt, which hit the shelves last November, proved to be such a success with readers that she now has two publishing company vying to sign her up.
Lisa (39) says that she will again concentrate on the genre of fashion and style when she begins writing, but insists that she won't be releasing anything until at least 2012.
"I have been asked to do another book," explained Dublin's answer to Bree Van de Kamp. "I'm delighted to be asked. It would be similar to the previous one, focusing on the style element.
"It's definitely something I want to do because there was a lot of content that had been written for the last book that didn't make it in when it was actually being put together. I would like to put that somewhere. I think there's plenty more to say.
"A couple of people have expressed interest but let's see what happens. It's not on the immediate plan at the moment because it definitely wouldn't be coming out this year.
"I wouldn't even contemplate it this year. I think people are sick of me at this stage!"
Lisa joined Rosanna Davison, Pippa O'Connor, Alison Canavan, Glenda Gilson, Lorraine Keane and Virginia Macari to help her toast its publication.
The invitation-only party took place at the Morgan hotel in Temple bar, which is owned by Lisa and her husband Paul.
The yummy mummy revealed how she dropped a dress size ahead of the event, citing that the stress of getting the book off the ground had caused the weight to fall off.
It's been a busy few weeks for the stylist, who was among the privileged guests who made it onto the guest-list for the exclusive reception hosted by the British Ambassador at the Convention Centre in honour of Queen Elizabeth's four-day State visit to Ireland last month. Lisa attended the event alongside her agent Noel Kelly and supermodel Erin O'Connor.
Her pal Lorraine Keane, meanwhile, will be jetting off to France next month to enjoy the summer break with her family and begin writing the follow-up to her first book, Working The Red Carpet.
