Pregnant Lucy prepares for her new role
Trying to rein in Podge and Rodge was a walk in the park compared with Lucy Kennedy's next role.
The popular TV presenter will welcome a new addition to her family, it emerged today.
Newlyweds Lucy and husband Richard Governey are expecting their first child.
Lucy (33) is 14 weeks pregnant. Her agent has said that she and Richard are "overjoyed" with the news.
She recently had a scan and everything is going really well, her agent added.
Having bagged a prize at last weekend's Sensations TV Now Awards, Lucy's latest piece of good news has capped a wonderful week for the star.
Best known for her part in The Podge and Rodge Show, Lucy, from Sandycove, in South Co Dublin, has diversified in recent years.
Before heading to the home of the gruesome twosome in Ballydung Manor, Lucy learnt her trade fronting The Ex-Files.
On Livin' With Lucy, she got to spend two days in the company of various celebrities.
She won the Favourite Female TV Presenter award at a flash party in the Mansion House on Saturday night.
Caroline Morahan has taken over from Lucy in the Ballydung hotseat.
Lucy was described by style spies as being 'curvy' at the award ceremony, "which we all know is a euphemism for putting on weight", her agent said.
She added that "now we know that is not the case -- she is simply pregnant".
Her time on Livin' With Lucy, a hit with viewers, was challenging.
She spent 48 hours in the company of people as diverse as Boyzone's Shane Lynch and Senator David Norris for the popular show.
Senator Norris quipped afterwards: "I tire out people half my age. I had Lucy Kennedy staying with me for her Livin' With Lucy series and she had to go to bed for a week afterwards."
