Pippa and Brian clinch VIP wedding pics deal
IT promises to be the showbiz wedding of the year, with a host of celebrity names on the guest-list -- but it looks like we'll have to wait for a sneak-peak into Pippa O'Connor's star-studded nuptials to RTE presenter Brian Ormond on Saturday.
High-profile invitees, including captain of the Irish soccer team Robbie Keane and his model wife Claudine, former Miss World Rosanna Davison and her beau Wesley Quirke and many more will be feeling unusually camera shy on the day, given that the couple have signed a lucrative deal with VIP magazine.
Despite previously insisting that they had no plans to make a profit from their big day, the Diary can confirm that the showbiz couple have sold the rights to their wedding, with the magazine featuring an exclusive 14-page spread set to hit the shelves early next week.
A picture of the newlyweds will also grace the front cover, with Pippa (26) and Brian (31) expected to arrive at the church in Enniskerry cloaked in a shroud of secrecy in order to avoid being papped.
The couple will, however, pose for one picture together as man and wife following the ceremony.
Rumour has it that the couple are even following in the footsteps of Nicky Byrne and Georgina Ahern, who requested that the guests at their wedding in France eight years ago didn't take any pictures on their phones in order to protect their deal with Hello! magazine.
"The deal was done months ago, as far back as Christmas," said an insider.
"The guests are all aware of the magazine deal and will only be doing pictures with the official photographer on the day.
"Security will be tight to ensure that no pictures leak out before VIP is published," they added.
A TV crew will, however, have full access to the glitzy event, with Brian and Pippa set to star in their own documentary-style programme on RTE next autumn.
The couple had some practice ahead of their big day last Monday when they visited the church for a rehearsal of the ceremony.
Yesterday, meanwhile, saw bride-to-be Pippa collect her dress, which is by designer Monique Lhuillier.
The catwalk queen will have her two best friends from school, Niamh and Avril, as her bridesmaids, while hubby Brian will have his former You're A Star co-star Mickey Joe Harte as his best-man.
Among the well-known faces who will be in attendance at the Ritz Carlton on Saturday are Pippa's model colleagues Sarah McGovern and Rozanna Purcell, as well as model boss Andrea Roche.
Next week will see the newlyweds jet off on honeymoon to Bali and Singapore.
