Perez Hilton uses his fame to give top Irish models a big boost
gossip king Perez Hilton has turned his attention to Irish models.
The celebrity internet blogger, who has drawn the ire of Jennifer Aniston and Miley Cyrus in the past, is featuring Sarah Morrissey, Blathnaid McKenna and Yomiko Chen.
The Diary can reveal that the models' latest runway show is on the showbiz guru's website, which receives two million hits a month.
The influential pal of Katy Perry published a post entitled DVF's Divine Goddess Takes On Dublin, leading in with a picture of Yomiko, with the girls strutting their stuff from the latest Diane Von Furstenberg collection in Brown Thomas.
"We may be hours away from the start of New York Fashion Week, but across the pond they're already having their own fashion fun," Perez wrote.
"Diane Von Furstenberg's Dublin boutique at Brown Thomas held a presentation of the designer's Divine Goddess collection.
"Kinda random, but at least the clothes are pretty."
His website has become a premier source of information for celebrity, even launching two spin-off websites focusing on health and fashion. Also snapped were leading beauties Jude Nabney and Karen Fitzpatrick.
Former Miss Ireland Blathnaid McKenna has returned to our shores after working abroad for a number of years.
The Kildare native, who became a firm favourite of John Rocha, made her triumphant return to the catwalk in an all- white suit and black blouse, and bright blue trousers with a patterned top.
But all eyes were on Karen Fitzpatrick, who experienced one of the less glamorous sides of the modelling world when she was rocking a sheer top and experienced an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
And statuesque beauty Isabelle Traber, who regularly flies to and from South Africa for work, was rocking an all- in-one, bright purple maxi dress, and then a black and white monochrome dress with a grey tweed jacket.
