Our Philip made Madonna's gladiator Super Bowl hat
MADONNA turned to the talents of Irish milliner Philip Treacy for her flamboyant Super Bowl look.
The pop diva, who has long been a fan of the award-winning designer, wore an intricate gold headpiece that was custom made to complete her gladiator look.
The piece was encrusted with diamonds and based on designs by Riccardo Tisci.
It is rumoured to have taken several days to assemble, and has received praise worldwide for its meticulous design.
Madonna's association with Philip Treacy goes back further than a decade. In 2001, she caused outrage when she was pictured sporting a €1,200 hat he had made from the pelts of five foxes.
After years of being favoured by royalty and international stars, Philip Treacy will share his experience as a judge on Who Wants To Be A Milliner?
The programme, which was devised and created by Off The Rails presenter Brendan Courtney, is expected to be recorded this spring.
A total of 10 finalists will be selected, and entries can be submitted through Brendan's Facebook page.
The competition will have a backdrop of the equestrian world's Ladies Days, as they are the most popular occasions for hat-makers and hat-wearers.
