Oops! Sile's beau worked on Late Late as she slagged it off

Sile Seoige lashed out at the quality of the line-up on the Late Late Show last week -- on the same night her partner was on duty as the programme's floor manager.

The 32-year-old joined in with an online discussion about the poor quality of talent to join host Ryan Tubridy, despite the fact that her boyfriend works on the show.

A well-informed source revealed to the Herald that Sile's partner Kim Burrowes was the working floor manager of the Late Late offering in question.

"Kim has been in RTE for years and he's often on as the floor manager there, a couple of people rotate it between them.

"He is one of the main people that makes sure everything on the night runs smoothly, whether its bringing in and out props, welcoming guests or signalling for the audience to applaud, so he has a lot of authority.

"He was working last week on the night that Sile said she was 'scratching her head in confusion'," an insider said.

Kim, who is the son of legendary writer and cult soap Glenroe creator Wesley Burrowes, has been employed by the Montrose station for more than 17 years.

The Dubliner, who lives with brunette beauty Sile in his native Bray, also works on long-running series Fair City.

Hundreds of viewers took to social networking sites to discuss the interviews with personalities Lorraine Keane, Andrea Roche and Michael O'Leary last week.

And Galway girl Sile added her two cents worth, admitting she was "scratching her head in confusion" about the line up.

"Just wondering ... are the days of the likes of Peter Ustinov, Spike Milligan and Germaine Greer gone forever?" the Newstalk host wrote on Twitter.

Today FM DJ Ray D'Arcy also criticised Ireland's most watched programme saying that it had "lost its allure".

Bubbly broadcaster Sile hit the headlines last year after her now-infamous X-rated tweet from a Kylie Minogue concert.

The former TG4 presenter met Kim at RTE following her separation from her husband Glen Mulcahy.

Glen and Sile, who were together for eight years, announced in 2009 that their three-year marriage had come to an end.
