RUGBY's newest golden couple Jonny Sexton and his bride-to-be Laura Priestly will soon be house-hunting in Paris.
The 27-year-old and his long-term partner are set to swap the familiarity of Dublin for the bright lights and boulevards of the French capital.
Jonny is believed to have agreed a two-year deal worth a whopping €750,000 per season with Parisian rugby team Racing Metro.
And while they opt to keep a low profile and are rarely spotted out socialising, close pals say that it is likely Laura played a key role in his decision to bring his Leinster career to an end.
"Both Jonathan and Laura are quite shy," a source close to the couple said.
"They don't really like to be in the spotlight. They've been together for so long and they're just happy to get on with their regular lives outside of the media glare. They really value their privacy."
Rugby hero Jonny and his partner Laura have been dating since leaving school.
Brunette Laura is a secondary school teacher from Dublin and got engaged to Jonny during a break to the Algarve in Portugal last summer.
The deal to join the French side will make Sexton one of the best-paid players in rugby and dwarfs his wage packet with Leinster, which was believed to be in the region of €350,000.
Team mate Cian Healy was one of the first to say he would be sad to see Sexton leave.
"On a serious note," he told his Twitter followers last night. "It is sad to see Sexto leave the club. He's done a lot of good things for us!"
It will definitely be an emotional goodbye for the Leinster lads.
Meanwhile, Laura will bid farewell to fellow Irish WAGs Amy Huberman and Aoife Cogan.
But it's onwards and upwards for Jonny and his fiancee.
And they will soon be in the Racing Metro fold.
Racing Metro is located in Hauts de Seine in the western suburbs of Paris.
Soon they will be rubbing shoulders with France's ultimate power couple, Racing Metro hooker Dimitri Szarzewski and his glamorous wife Florence.
Florence and Dimitri are France's answer to Posh and Becks and good friends with lock Sebastien Chabal and his wife Annick.
Many of the players live in the surrounding area but it remains to be seen where Laura and Jonny will settle down.
Rugby hero Jonny proposed to his childhood sweetheart on holiday in the Algarve last summer.
And according to Ireland captain Jamie Heaslip the engagement was a long time coming.
"As long as I've known Jonny, he has been going out with Laura," Jamie said. "It was about time!"
